TPO membrane installation
TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) is a single-ply reflective roofing membrane made from polymerized polyprophylene rubber and ethylenepropylene. It is a membrane with a glossy surface, making it easy to maintain.
Advantages of the TPO membrane
- The hot air welded joints are formed by the fusion of the two membranes, which increases their resistance as well as that of the membrane itself;
- Excellent durability and high resistance to weather, wind and perforation;
- High flexibility to avoid tears caused by building movement;
- The large panels greatly reduce the number of joints required during installation (which automatically reduces labor costs);
- An environmentally friendly product (TPO membranes contain no toxic or hazardous ingredients and are completely recyclable).
When installed according to standards, TPO membranes represent a durable, weather-resistant and easy-to-maintain option.
